Review: Surreal Estate by Elliott James
SURREAL ESTATE was laughably brief, and I think calling it a novella was a bit of a stretch, a deleted scene would have been more accurate IMO. Charming's been drugged which made his dream-like POV an interesting read, and James did a good job of fleshing out his black widow like Big Bad. I'm not sure how much of this tale happened inside of Charming's head vs. the actual reality, so that was a bit confusing. This was by far the biggest rip-off out of the five PAX ARCANA shorts, and should be skipped unless you are a die hard John fan.
