I enjoyed my trip to Hell with Jessica McClain; the world-building was good, her wolf plays a larger role than in the previous installment, and I liked that we got answers as far as the prophecy / Cain myth are concerned. However, the Lili angle was very predictable, Jess gains AND insta-masters a bunch of new powers (again), and the whole the One thing was too much a ripoff of The Matrix / Highlander for my tastes. I was diggin' the story until about the 2/3 mark where it abruptly shifted gears, and I was reminded of how far this series has strayed since books 1 & 2. Full review to follow.
